I worked at C Spire in the C Spire Business Solutions (CSBS) department to help reach business customer's needs. C Spire stands for "Customer Inspired", and CSBS is the branch of C Spire that takes that philosophy that began in the retail world and apply it to the small business and enterprise arena. At C Spire with met with customers with technology problems to see if there were solutions that could be provided by C Spire. I focused in hosted VoIP, WAN, and Internet technologies:• Broadsoft• Polycom• VPRN• VPLS• MPLS• Point to Point• T1I was also heavily involved in E Rate for the educational sector to provide WAN solutions to great Mississippi schools such as Jackson Public Schools. I worked as the first technical contact between C Spire and the customer and followed the process up to the final sales and the customer was transitioned into the hands of C Spire's excellent project management team. At C Spire I was also responsible for working with the fiber build, engineering, and finance teams to provide excellent pricing to customers. Designed and executed physical to virtual infrastructure project to provide future growth, system longevity, and reduce future hardware expenses. Trained other network administration staff. Instituted PowerShell based scripting to improve transparency, and visibility of environment. (AD who is logged on scripts, backup logs, etc.). Lead helpdesk ticketing system installation at zero cost utilizing Spiceworks ticketing system. Designed and implemented PowerShell scripted backups as a bridge method of recovery due to no backups of any kind present at hire date. Designed and implemented Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager as long term backup solution to replace scripted backups. Oversaw the testing and turn up of seven MPLS network uplinks. Oversaw the testing and turn up of five fiber based Internet and SIP connections to provide voice and data services for home office, and seven remote sites.
