The American College of Rheumatology is advancing rheumatology. Representing over 9,000 rheumatologists, rheumatology health professionals, and scientists, the ACR advances rheumatology through education, research, advocacy, and practice support.As the lead advocate for the rheumatology community, the ACR works with decision makers in Washington, D.C. and around the nation to improve policy outcomes. The ACR's advocacy focuses on issues including access to rheumatologic care, access to treatments, and funding for medical research. RheumPAC, the ACR's non-partisan political action committee, helps support and elect pro-rheumatology candidates to Congress.The ACR's Annual Meeting is the premier scientific meeting devoted to the rheumatic diseases, drawing thousands from around the world. The ACR publishes Arthritis & Rheumatism, the premier scientific journal for the rheumatic diseases. Arthritis Care & Research is published by the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals, a division of the ACR.
