Responsibilities- Planning and implementation of integrated water outcomes including strategic flood plain planning, flood mitigation, flood gauges, water quality, WSUD, stormwater harvesting within the water resources sector- Delivery of Council's Capital works program for stormwater - Leadership and oversight for the Flood Intelligence and Forecasting team during natural disasters- Member and leader of Ipswich LDCC and advisor on LDMG. Skills:- High level of knowledge and skill in applying WSUD and water cycle strategies and collaboration in multi-discipline spaces to lead best practice outcomes- Proven skills in water quality and water balance assessment and demonstrated project design and construction experience on stormwater harvesting and water quality design such as swales, wetlands and integrated water projects- High level of experience and application utilising Tuflow, XP Rafts, XP Storm and HEC-RAS - Some experience with RORB, WBNM, URBS, 12D and Drains- Established, proven, genuine qualified Project Management Skills Key Projects- Designed, project managed and supervised construction of two integrated water solutions incorporating sports fields, detention basins, wetlands, sediment basins, swales and harvesting systems in the pursuit of best practice water cycle outcomes- Delivered 11 new and 20 upgraded flood gauges across Ipswich City- Project managed and delivered designs of a 10 million dollar package of flood mitigation works including multiple detention basins, levees and culverts. - Completed modelling and mitigation scenarios of Mi Hi Creek using Tuflow direct rainfall model- Undertook an industry first 2D modelling of natural floodplain management techniques (woody debris, pile fields, floodplain revegetation)- Multiple examples of creating opportunity for sub regional solutions on developments for water quantity and quality included relevant modelling and SMP's
