County lead on an innovative and industry leading health improvement project; Active Herts. I coordinate a team of Get Active Specialists who deliver a research-based intervention in deprived communities to shift stubborn inactivity habits, and encourage people to become more active. The project has become embedded in primary care pathways through valued and trusted relationships established over the life of the project, based on a credible delivery model which demonstrates health, social and financial returns on investment.

I managed a county-wide exercise programme for frail older adults who have had a fall or are at risk of falling.I was responsible for the management of over 30 exercise classes each week delivered by 10 fully qualified instructors. I worked in close partnership with the Hertfordshire Falls Liaison Service to ensure that the classes are fully populated and run at full capacity. Within the role, I coordinated assessment clinics before and after the course of exercise to measure progress. Using this information I created regular reports on participant progress which is shared with both the participant and their GP to determine their further care pathway.I was also responsible for creating monitoring and evaluation reports for each 16 week 'block' to outline participant progress, feedback, class uptake etc. which was submitted to the county's Clinical Commissioning Groups.

Westmill, Ware

Event Director for Westmill parkrun in Hertfordshire, attracting regular and visiting runners, and working with a team of volunteers to support the community to become more active.

I was responsible for the organisation and delivery of both after-school football sessions and football-based holiday camps. As part of this, I managed a team of football coaches responsible for delivering a structured programme throughout.I was also heavily involved in developing football opportunities within Harrow as part of an annual delivery plan. This largely focussed around developing opportunities for women and girls, and part of this role included managing the girls football team at the London Youth Games. Other roles included undertaking the Preliminary Equality Standard for Barnet FC, delivering a national 'Respect' initiative to over 5000 students and coordinating the 'Kickz' youth social inclusion programme.
