I was a contestant on the gameshow "College Bowl" from NBC and Capitol One. I represented my alma mater Auburn University on a team of three to compete for thousands of dollars in scholarship money in a trivia game show. My team made it to the semi-finals of the twelve schools competing, and we were each awarded $15,000 in scholarship money.

I learned culinary techniques from chefs in the department & assisted in helping guests of the restaurant. Additionally, I enhanced my skills in the areas of kitchen management, kitchen operations, inventory management, customer service, time management, and recipe development.

I was responsible for establishing the processes of the group, its funding, identifying and selecting its… Show more This role allowed me the opportunity to oversee two of Tiger Dining's major projects: the establishment of the Dining Nutrition Ambassadors and the research and development of the Nutrition Resource Center. The Dining Nutrition Ambassadors were established as a group of students who could help guide students to understanding nutrition in relation to on-campus dining options. I was responsible for establishing the processes of the group, its funding, identifying and selecting its membership, and support the overall functions of the group. This group is still running smoothly to this day. Once that project was self-sufficient, I was tasked with the research and development of a nutrition resource center for our campus. This was intended to be a space to support students in the areas of nutrition and food insecurity. Beyond a space to seek support, it was also a space for organizations on campus assisting Auburn's food insecure students. This required research of similar establishments, acquiring feedback from involved parties, communicating across many departments across campus, and acting as a liaison and spokesperson for Tiger Dining. This training involved regular testing, skit development, team bonding, leadership development, customer service training, and situational training.
