Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all assets (equipment and manpower) whilst in barracks or deployed globally.Key liaison with internal PAG agencies and external stakeholders to deliver and sustain products to customers. Conducting iterative Risk Analysis to mitigate risks to acceptable levels and assuring currency to all policy/legislation.Trade champion and sponsor for engineering trades.

Responsible for engineering assurance activities to ensure the capability of my staff and fleet of communication platforms to a formation held at Very High Readiness. Conducting analysis of requirements from my higher formation enabled the provision of CIS and a large training burden to upskill my personnel, enabling the delivery of desired effects in all environments and circumstances.Responsible for training and development of engineering personnel whilst championing the benefits of professional accreditation.

1St Signal Regiment

Capability Manager with an armoured fleet supporting a dislocated HQ. The HQ was held at Very High Readiness in support of NATO’s missions and tasks.As 2nd Line Assurance I provide direction and guidance to the field squadrons in the delivery of their capabilities. Formed healthy relationships with external partners to exploit policies and SLAs to provide a streamlined service for all parties.

Studied a BEng (Hons) in Telecommunications Systems Engineering on the highly regarded Foreman of Signals Course at the Defence College of Communications and Information Systems, Blandford Forum and graduated May 2016 with First Class Honours. Responsible for the identification and delivery of training requirements for 80+ personnel prior to an 8 month operational deployment. As the senior Communications Systems Engineer during this time I created a development programme for all engineers, which once gained maturity was rolled out as best practice across the Regiment.

Delivering bespoke IT systems and services to multinational staff at PJHQ. Planned and delivered the seamless transition to a new Secret system whilst decommissioning a legacy system.

Technical team leader for deployable personnel supporting FCO and other Government Departments worldwide. Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of many RF systems and strategic communication platforms.

Remote hilltop commander, responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic communications equipment back to the HQ location.

Defence College Of Communications And Information Systems

Class 1 upgrading course studying a Higher National Certificate in Telecommunication Engineering. Studying subjects such as Microprocessor Systems, Combinational and Sequential Logic, PC Systems and Engineering Design. Recipient of the Ulster Trophy for academic excellence.

Completion of initial trade training and assignment to Germany supporting Tornado GR4 squadrons with Fujitsu ground to air communications systems. Managed the maintenance of both the copper and fibre infrastructure around the airfield.Following this employment I was moved into a 1st/2nd line role facilitating the distribution of all communications across Germany in support to NATO's Allied Rapid Reaction Corps.
