My experience sits at the nexus of policy, advocacy and program development. Undergird this with project management and strong interpersonal skills, and there I am!I am trained in policy analysis and evaluation. With this analytical lens, I strive for continuous improvement. I have worked extensively developing new public schools and distilling policy into advocacy opportunities. Ultimately, my goal is to upend harmful and inequitable systems to ensure that African Americans and other historically excluded people thrive! I have immersive experience in making meaning of federal policy (ESSA, HEA, Perkins, etc.). I am a member of various policy tables and forums. I have also developed and taught courses to young people through CUNY School of Professional Studies and New York City College of Technology. In everything, I especially find the value-add for young people, ways to meaningfully engage them in conversation, process, and build with them!
