Identify various cells on factory floor --- Differential Case Cell, T5 (EOU) Differential Case Cell, Axle Carrier Cell, Salisbury Final Assembly Cell --- and understand the processes in each cell and state of work flow between each cell. Finally make a visual map (V-map) of the factory floor with a dedicated team and indicate said processes and then optimization for future factory floor layouts.

The internship involved learning about the different processes in production of automobile drive shafts along with its micro components (inner race and spiders) from the raw material stage to the final finished product. The said processes included raw material testing and processing, heat treatment of various parts, turning,spline rolling and welding operations, crack detection, and finishing operations like grinding and honing.
