Realising his penchant towards film-making quite early on, Aditya embarked on this journey as an writing assistant to screenwriter Rumy Jafry, before he decided to pursue his formal education in filmmaking. He moved to Hollywood to pursue filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in 2012, where he graduated with a BFA in 2015. During his time in LA, he worked with James Franco’s Production house, Rabbit Bandini, as a Director’s Assistant and he was also the producer of over 30+ international award winning Short Films, collaborating with talents from all over the World.Upon his return to India, Aditya’s first project was as an Assistant Producer in a Netflix Original film starring Rishi Kapoor, Rajma Chawal. He then went on to serve as an Associate Producer for a short-film ‘Sharing A Ride’ starring Jacquline Fernandez, which is part of an International Anthology Film. His most recent work is an award winning Netflix Original Docs-series, ‘House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths’ created by Leena Yadav, with A.R. Rahman as the Music Composer.After delivering successful projects, Aditya then went on to establish his own Mumbai-based Production Company by the name Junun Motion Pictures in 2022 where he aspires to collaborate and work with young like-minded creatives to create a slate of meaningful content. His recent work under the banner of his own Production company includes a Short Film titled ‘Khol Do’ and ‘Pretender’ which premiered at Bandra Film Festival. He also produced creative commercial for a brand-label featuring Gurumeet Chaudhary, another Fashion Shoot with Debina Bonnerjee. Most recently Junun produced three music videos for singer-songwriter Arjun Kanungo, which have crossed 70M views so far. The Junun Motion Pictures banner has also produced video campaign for Mercedes, and line-produced a camera launch film helmed by reputed Cinematographer Aseem Bajaj for Fujifilm India. He most recently made a brand-film for a popular south-indian furniture brand Magari. Aditya’s company Junun Motion Pictures is producing 2 Features film and in talks with major platform to produce 3 Web-series. Alongside producing, his company is developing other features films and shows with upcoming writers from the Hindi film industry, and collaborating with brands across india to produce brand ad-films and digital content.
