Andrew is a Registered Professional Landscape Architect with ten years of experience designing and implementing sustainable site interventions in the urban environment, specifically within the context of the Gulf Coast. He practiced in other areas including Beijing, China, New York City, and Dallas, TX before returning home to the New Orleans area to work primarily with Batture LLC, a local-multidisciplinary design and engineering firm.He specializes in large scale ecological and transportation planning, sustainable urban design strategies, watershed management master planning, and green infrastructure-based stormwater management.Additionally, his interest in gardening and native plants ensures that planting design and ecology are integral parts of any site design. He has extensive experience in designing site- and neighborhood- scale stormwater management and green infrastructure interventions for the specific conditions present in the Greater New Orleans area. Andrew also has extensive experience preparing graphic-based representations using computer-based modeling and rendering software to articulate design ideas generated by multi-disciplinary project teams for the purpose of communicating innovative design strategies to the public. Past projects have included pursuing grants and implementing funding opportunities with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and FEMA, as well as pro-bono work organizations such as Engineers without Borders. Andrew's work has been published in numerous issues of Landscape Architecture Magazine and has been awarded both Merit and Honor awards by national and local chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
