Adrian’s journey has been long established in the horticultural and landscape design world, and actively promotes the big issues from the garden to new urban development in a changing climate. As an advocate of soil, soil health and soil management for over three decades, Adrian specialises in, pushes forwards and advances No-dig and No-till cultivation from the gardening perspective to bigger agricultural scale. Adrian currently works for Innogreen in Finland as part of their Research and Development team in finding and designing solutions and products for the developing urban landscape, including ecosystem services, outdoor plant walls and the promotion of increased biodiversity. Working hand in hand with the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals, Adrian’s projects are holistic in approach in helping build thriving communities for people, flora and fauna.As a renowned gardening columnist in the Nordic countries, Adrian uses his voice to spearhead the issues of modern gardening, and horticulture, in a changing climate. He has the ability to take the big issues in this field and explain them to the wider audience. His work appears in paper, social, video, radio and television journalism which has earned him the respect of colleagues and audiences alike.Using also the platform of teaching and lecturing, Adrian gives back to horticultural students a part of his journey in the profession for over thirty years, one in which has seen him as nurseryman, head gardener, field production manager, field trials manager, garden centre manager and landscape designer. In short Adrian has a giant passion for his subject which he is willing to share using whichever platforms are available.
