As a member of the software development team, provided testing support for the DeltaVision OMX and DeltaVision OMX SR imaging products. I performed verification and validation functions to assure high quality software products for high end super-resolution microscope systems. In addition to software testing, I also provided documentation included with software release, such as testing summaries, release notes and installation/upgrade documentation. I also provided software testing support for the Argus project, a high content analysis software development team. This software, Investigator NXT, is associated with the INCell high content scanner. As part of the Argus team I worked as a tester in an Agile framework. I created test cases in bdd format using Rally software. I performed testing, identified and documented software defects as well as verified defect fixes in Rally. As part of the Argus scrum team I participated in daily scrum meetings, sprint demos and sprint reviews.

I provided the main applications support for GE Healthcare’s super resolution structured illumination system, the DeltaVision OMX. I ran sales demos at customer sites as well as in house. I provided customer training and after-sales support for the OMX system. I also trained other GE applications scientists in structured illumination imaging on the DeltaVision OMX.

Provided applications support for Applied Precision’s DeltaVision microscopy products. Provide expertise and after sales support and training to customers and DeltaVision users. Supported pre-sale product demos providing technical applications support. Attended product shows at several large scientific meetings including American Society of Cell Biology, Society for Neuroscience, and American Society for Microbiology. Attended microscopy courses and workshops as a vendor where I provided microscopy training, education and support to scientists and course attendees. Courses attended included Quantitative Imaging (CSHL, NY), Analytical and Quantitative Light Microscopy (Woods Hole, MA), Live Cell Microscopy Course (University of British Columbia, Vancouver).

Provide microscopy support and training to Center staff on confocal, wide-field deconvolution (DeltaVision), and epi-flourescence microscope workstations. Also, provide advice and training in image analysis and processing using such software as Metamorph, SoftWoRx, Volocity, Image J, NIH Image, PhotoShop, and Canvas. Oversee users and provide training in the use of multi-mode gel/blot scanner and image analysis using ImageQuant software.

Perform molecular, cytological and genetic experiments investigating gene inactivation and heterochromatin in Drosophila melanogaster. Techniques used include standard molecular manipulations such as cloning, PCR, FISH, 3D microscopy, pulsed-field gel electrophoresis, and Southern analysis. Also maintained and distributed lab fly stocks, plasmid and P1 clones. Managed supply budget pool, lab purchasing, and maintained lab equipment.
