Wrote 20+ posts a week. Investigated successful historical posts through Google Analytics to uncover creative concepts to garner pageviews and visits. Wrote 20% more posts than the second top editor my first year, earning nearly twice as many pageviews over my fellow editors. I was the only editor creating content, helming the social media, writing the email newsletter, and scheduling the editorial calendar for the weekends, which saw a pageview increase of 30% over the previous year. Sundays became one of the top pageview-earning days of the week. Numbers didn’t fall flat the year after that; in my second year at Apartment Therapy as Weekend Editor, the weekends met a company-wide goal of 30% growth.

I was the first and lead Austin contributor. I wrote blog posts, conducted interviews, and photographed and wrote house tour articles.

UPPERCASE Magazine is a print magazine for the creative and the curious. The Beginnings column speaks with someone who has been in a creative industry but has also attained a lot of success in their field. In the column, I explored their background, how they got to their level, but also dug for tips and advice that others could gain inspiration from.

The marketing world is a complicated, fascinating place, and its driving force these days is through social media. I was the head of 2Modern's official social media efforts across several channels: Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. I supervised the running of the Instagram account. I was responsible for not only posting on a daily basis, I had to be witty, informative, engaging and answer questions from fans. I managed a Facebook page with over 20,000 followers and a Twitter account with over 10,000. I designed and implemented editorial calendars and created and ran contests on a regular basis. Did I mention I also helmed the blog? Writing more than 20 posts a week and managing an ever-expanding team of contributing and guest bloggers? I wrote lots of cool posts, conducted sweet designer interview podcasts, moderated comments, made sure everyone's posts look good and more.

CultureMap is Austin's daily digital magazine and I wrote on topics like local art news, architecture, interior design and more. More than just cover news—I aimed to uncover those in Austin who were literally shaping the look of a city that had changed rapidly in past years. Every year I helped steer art and design lovers in the right direction by producing guides for the E.A.S.T. art tour and the AIA Home Tour.

A website launched well before its time, Goodkin told the beautiful, heart-warming stories of families of all kinds, from adoption, to LGBT issues to more. As the managing editor, all blog posts went through me first, and I made sure all the posts had photos, were formatted correctly and didn't have any misspelled words or grammatical errors. I also helped guide the editorial content and made sure content stayed on brand. I made sure the posts went up on time and were placed in the right spot on the website. I also headed the upkeep of the Facebook page and Twitter account for Goodkin, as well as used a number of Internet tools to market posts.
