DevZen Podcast is the only podcast in Russian about programming, system administration, and IT in general, that (1) is issued out every week, (2) specializes in deep technical topics (distributed systems, HA, DBMS, etc), (3) at the same time is not narrowly focused on one programming language or technology stack. Currently, we have 5,000+ regular listeners.

Insolar.io was a startup with an ambitious goal to create an open-source distributed byzantine fault-tolerant application server. The core of the system was written in Go and could use Badger, PostgreSQL, or CockroachDB for storing data. Some tests (Jepsen-like) were written in Python and relied on Kubernetes and Docker.

PostgresPro is a Russian vendor of PostgreSQL. Besides developing patches for PostgreSQL I was responsible for mentoring a small team. I made several talks for conferences in the US, Canada and Japan, was a mentor during GSoC. With a colleague of mine, we read a course on DBMS development in Moscow State University and Higher School of Economics.

Nexters.com is a game developer, but in 2014 the company was also working on a mobile crypto messenger, Titanium.im. The key technologies were: AWS, Scala, Cassandra, Couchbase, RabbitMQ. We used Akka framework a lot, including Akka Cluster.

Exante.eu provides a single application for trading financial instruments on different stock exchanges. Exante uses microservices written in Scala, Erlang, and C. I worked on the part written in Erlang, although we made one service in Haskell as an experiment. As DBMS we used PostgreSQL and embedded means of Erlang, e.g. ETS and Mnesia.
