Marketplace is the team building the platform, products, and algorithms responsible for the realtime execution and online optimization of Uber's marketplace.I’m part of the Marketplace Pricing team, where we focus on building the science and real time infrastructure to determine the right price to the rider with the end goal of maximizing marketplace efficiency and Uber's long-term profitabilityThe team builds high-performance system which computes rider prices with machine learning models at real-time and serves the prices to Uber rider app for every single fare request. The technology/language that we use in the team include: Python, database(Cassandra), backend servers, (Py)Spark, HDFS, data pipeline and optimization algorithms.

- Member of Marketo's Platform Services Engineering team.- Designing and developing services for Marketo’s Account Based Marketing feature using Java, Apache Spark, Kafka, Spark Streaming, MySQL and Spring.- Led the design and implementation of the Persona based Marketing feature.- Led the integration efforts with Mintigo Inc. to leverage their AI algorithms. The integration mainly involved building RESTful APIs, Spark jobs and asynchronous tasks.- Improved the time performance to retrieve customer defined attributes on database objects by 15x by re-architecting legacy functionality.- Developed Spark jobs to process millions of lead related data records in a matter of minutes.

- Assisted doctoral candidates in scraping and analyzing data from the web using pySpark and R.- Developed the curriculum for CSE 100 Advanced Data Structures (micro class) along with a team of professors and tutors. The goal of this program was to improve the quality of learning for students in large classes.- Responsible for holding office hours, resolving student queries on Piazza and assignment grading in upper division undergraduate course CSE 110 Software Engineering.

- Architected Cisco-Apple Automation Framework and developed automation suite for Cisco-Apple use cases.- Automated the new protocol "IEEE 802.11r" for Cisco and Apple devices.- Built a scalable testing module for videos on Android devices.

My role consisted of assisting in creation of a new data warehouse system pertaining to clinical research domain for a major US based Pharmaceuticals Company. During this time frame I worked on tools like Teradata, Informatica and Spotfire. Over the period of time, I also gained confidence in writing SQL queries and learnt to represent them through analytical tools.

Since the global growth and circulation of knowledge through the migration of research networks has accelerated. I worked for Huluppu where me and my team analyzed trends in research, ranging from science and engineering to the social sciences and humanities.

Worked on the project “Mapping the Cultural and Technological Landscape of Technological Development in Asia”.My role was to conduct "Online Citation Networks Analysis", for understating the influence of factors such as geography, institutional prestige, and time on citations.

Responsible for leading and guiding various members in their research work. Motivated students and guided them on how to initiate and write a research paper.

I helped in development of an "Interactive Development Environment for Teaching Undergraduate Students in Engineering", in Java which was to be used by the Undergraduate students of the college. I worked on the UI interface along with creating a simulator for a home grown microprocessor.
