I grew up in Brockton MA, where I was unintentionally surrounded by racial and ethnic diversity. As I matured, I understood that being a Black woman was not enough for those who could not accept my small wins in life because of who I was. This was the foundation that started my journey to support efforts to free not only myself but others from the fear that being who you are is not enough!In my professional career, my intention is always to create spaces where every person feels like they can thrive as a result of their differences.As a constant learner and supporter of diversity and inclusion, one of my focus areas is transforming how we look at diversity, equity, and inclusion and embedding intentional practices into how we show up in the world each day. I’m committed to embracing and supporting the learning journeys of others as well as teaching the skills and capabilities that lead to diversity and inclusion becoming the lens through which we all view the work we do and how we do it.In addition to my corporate experience, I’m an adjunct professor at the Boston College Carroll School for Management. In this role, I spend time working with college juniors and seniors, helping them to see the world through a more inclusive lens.Leadership positions:I’m on the Board of Directors for the Boston chapter of Strive, a national organization that supports chronically unemployed individuals.I also sit on the Board of Directors for Raising Multicultural Kids (RMK). Our mission is to cultivate racial and cultural competency in the communities in which we live and serve.
