Experienced customer care professional transitioning to career in Software Development:Prior to the 2008 financial crash I assisted people in meeting complex financial needs, from day-to-day money management to saving for their future and organizing wealth transfers to their heirs. After the crash, I retrained as a massage therapist and managed my own practice for five years. Throughout this time I watched as technology, utilized by daily deals sites such as Groupon, changed the way massage therapy services were sold, from a luxury boutique service engendering high client loyalty, to a mass-market discount service with low loyalty. Similarly, my financial industry contacts described to me how many services previously performed by teams were now automated, either in whole or in part.It became very clear to me that no industry was going to remain untouched by automation and that the best way to be a part of future changes was to retrain in software development. I earned my B.S. in software development at Western Governors University September 2019 and am seeking employment at a company that will allow me to develop my skills and grow as an I.T. professional.
