Our team is structured into five specialized subsystems: Drive, Arm, Telecommunications, Science, and Autonomy. We actively compete in the University Rover Challenge (URC), a renowned collegiate robotics competition held annually in southern Utah's desert. In this competition, teams design and build Mars rovers to assist astronauts in exploring Mars in future missions.I significantly contributed to our team by developing a base station web GUI for control purposes. This interface enhanced the functionalities of the Telecommunications, Autonomy, and Science subsystems. It provided crucial information to our rover navigators, such as GPS and heading navigation data. Additionally, I implemented complete control over the science platform, enabling it to execute various tasks such as activating pumps for liquids, adjusting the platform’s height, and drilling. This system, developed using Django with custom integration into ROS2, contributed to the improvement of our team's placement by three ranks in the 2024/2025 competition.
