Ailsa was the principal consultant in Eco Logical Australia’s Queensland team, former Regional Manager for QLD-NT-WA and lead of the ELA aquatic ecology team. During her time at ELA, Ailsa has undertaken numerous environmental assessments and has developed many management and monitoring plans for sites throughout Australia. There she assessed Sea Dumping Permit applications and EPBC Act approvals documentation.Ailsa also worked in the heritage division. Ailsa's PhD was entitled Macro ecology and biogeography of benthic marine algae. She was also a research assistant to Prof Terry Hughes and carried out numerous field trips, including an extensive cross shelf coral recruitment field program.
