With over 35 years of experience in the field of gastroenterology and liver diseases, I am the Chairman and Head of the BLK Institute of Digestive and Liver Diseases at BLK Multispeciality Hospital, one of the largest private hospitals in India. I have been leading this institute since 2018, after serving as the Chairman and Director Executive & Chief of the Fortis Escorts Liver and Digestive Disease Institute and the Gastroenterology Liver Pancreaticobiliary Sciences Institute (GLiPS) respectively for three and a half years. I have a strong background in medical education, having obtained my MD from PGIMER, Chandigarh and my DM in Gastroenterology from GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi. I have also been involved in public health initiatives, such as the Hepatitis B vaccination program, the prevention and management of liver diseases, and the promotion of organ donation. My core competencies include diagnosis, treatment, and research of various digestive and liver disorders, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and gastrointestinal cancer. I am passionate about improving the quality of life and well-being of my patients and the community, and I strive to deliver the best possible care and outcomes with the help of my dedicated team and advanced technology.
