I am a senior Computer Science student at the University of North Texas. I have over half a decade of experience programming in C# with some Java, Javascript, C++, HTML, CSS, and SQL practice. I’m quick to learn and adopt new workflows and software, whether archaic or modern. My long-term goals include earning a Master’s degree in Computer Science, developing a game and publishing it on the Steam distribution platform, and finding a highly collaborative work environment at a software development firm. Software development is my primary career interest. I enjoy the process of solving complex problems, practicing good UX design with target audience in mind (customer-facing vs employee-facing), and knowing that my work is making someone’s life easier. I have experience in the service industry that I feel has humbled me and taught me how to interact with people in a productive way. As a customer service representative, I learned to de-escalate and maintain healthy discourse in stressful situations. After only 5 months of working at Tom Thumb, I was promoted from cashier to cash office/customer service. As the position deals with distressed customers and large amounts of money, I feel that this promotion is a testament to my responsibility, trustworthiness, and ability to work with people.
