- Designed and implemented prototype tool to increase throughput of renewable energy pricing analysis by 100x. Written in Vue.js, GraphQL, Python, Flask, and Postgres.- Designed and implemented FastAPI endpoint for querying geospatial data for 24 map layers across the entire United States using PostGIS.- Maintained crucial legacy systems written in R, python, and Java across ten wind-optimization services.- Diagnosed and triaged software bug in a closed-source, proprietary wind optimization tool, using system tools such as strace and netcat.- Optimized standard SQL and geospatial queries, resulting in orders-of-magnitude improvements in query speed.- Proactively identified and remediated SQL injection vulnerabilities.

As the first hire on the Data Science and Engineering Team- Collaborated with the Director of Data Science and Engineering to create onboarding processes and to grow the team, resulting in six new data science and engineering hires.- Evaluated several machine learning tools such as DataBricks, conducted proof of concepts, and established AWS SageMaker as the tool of choice for the team.- Managed stakeholders across SRE, Infrastructure, and Product teams to develop proof-of-concept fraud detection and data quality monitoring systems using AWS API Gateway and SageMaker.

- Developed and released Meal Hero, an iOS and Android app for meal planning & grocery shopping, reaching 6.5k DAU and 20k MAU.- Architected authentication and user data structure with Firebase.- Established, maintained, and improved app deployment pipeline via CircleCI, supporting 25 engineers, PMs, and designers.- Implemented monitoring and reporting capabilities via Sentry, and provided quantitative reports to business stakeholders that correlated errors with product metrics such as significant user interactions.- Demonstrated the unreliability of existing feature management and A/B testing tools, and recommended new tooling to the CTO and Head of Data.- Designed, documented, and implemented new feature management and A/B testing strategy with Optimizely, allowing for progressive delivery and data-driven feature development. Architected corresponding app release process.- Led the integration of Looker, BigQuery, and Firebase analytics into a system that empowered product team members to understand product data and to communicate insights via intuitive charts and dashboards. - Developed and released SparkStarter for iOS and Android, a dating app that allowed users to play matchmaker for their friends. - Collaborated with CTO in maintaining PHP and MySQL backend.- Planned and implemented SparkStarter’s 2.0 launch. Rewrote mobile app using Cordova, Ionic, AngularJS, and Firebase, allowing for streamlined, cross platform app development and release.- Mentored and managed four interns and facilitated Scrum meetings with the company COO.

Designed novel encoding schemes to explore how simple circuitry could be made to perform complex calculations. My adviser was Marc Riedel of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Minnesota.

Worked in the Biomedical Functional Imaging and Neuroengineering Laboratory under the mentorship of Professor Bin He.Configured an interface between BCI2000 and a Jaco mechanical arm device. The interface was written in C#, and allowed for communication between a subject's brain waves and the movement of the mechanical arm. By focusing their attention on a particular motor imagery signal, subjects could control the robotic arm with their mind.

Designed and conducted a study relating musical consonance to harmonic ratios. This involved a number of approaches, including MIDI synthesis of specially chosen chord structure in Java, as well as live recording on a MIDI device. Work was done in Xaioqin Wang's Auditory Neurophysiology Lab.
