CurrentWhislt I look for graduate / entry level engineering opportunities, I continue to work as a can-do and will-do member of the engineering team within a renowned automotive company involved in motor racing and the production of high-performance sporting cars for regular road use. Key highlights to date include:- Intelligently collaborating with different team members on the assembly line's CAB Rebuild stage - Maintained steady padded assembly system for producing maximum high-quality automotives- Conceptualised ideas that led to improvements in downtime reduction- Drove continuous improvement opportunities, e.g. improved parts recording reducing wastage- Developed procedures for processing non-conforming production materials to reduce scrap costs- Championing company’s stringent Quality Control / Quality Assurance standards on assembly line- Excellent hand and eye coordination and safe / compliant use of hand and power tools / equipment- Hands-on support on customised right-hand drive conversion of the American-made Dodge Ram - Bring chassis to the station and perform the pre chassis work (steering hose, Steering shaft)- Bring the cab to the station (Prepare cab, set cab on hoist, release the park cable) - Perform the under-cab work and inspect (Install heat shield, brake cable)- Set hoist on chassis and perform under chassis work: cab bolts, side steps, transmission, park brake etc- RHS duties: A/C, RHS battery, alternator cable, radiator, air intake, stabilizers, radiator, etc- LHS duties: ABS, A/C line, steering shaft, coolant bottle, power steering, coolant, battery LHS, stabilizers etc- Perform the DT’s check and programming (change configuration to LHS to RHS, testing and quality checks- Complete and verify checklist sheets do the associated quality and handover paperwork- Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, etc to plan resources / steps
