After attending the University of Pennsylvania graduate school of education (GSE), I served as an Assistant Principal at the Russell Byers Charter School in Philadelphia, Academy Leader (Principal) of the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, and Founder of Edvance Cyber Academy. My background in academic leadership, educational technology, and regional supervision are foundational to my philosophy of education. List of professional contributions:Russell Byers Charter School •Created a tracking system for disciplinary issues within school that recorded location, time of day, categorization of behavior, and teacher response. Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School •Developed online form systems to track call center communications with families to promote our one voice policy and for staff evaluation. Edvance Cyber Academy •As the founder and director of a successful blended K-12 learning model, I developed the criteria for start-up and evaluation of learning communities that continue to emerge in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Russell Byers Charter School •Developer of the ASAP Chess Club at the Russell Byers Charter School in which there are presently nationally ranked players in this program. Also, the developer of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring program (BBBS), which matched 40 students with business professionals in Center City Philadelphia. This program became the model program of BBBS in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School •Visionary of Mobile Learning Centers, which are community-based academic centers (targeting under-served and under- performing communities throughout Pennsylvania) established to increase Math and Reading performance in grade levels (3-8) through web-based interventions, face-to-face coaching, and student-centered support.
