I have worked for Ovarro (including its predecessor brands Tynemarch and Servelec Technologies), since graduation from Cambridge with a First-Class Honours in Mathematics in 2004. My current role is a Subject Matter Expert in the Innovation team, providing guidance on water industry requirements to support development of new technologies and enhancements for leakage detection and other business functions.Previously I was Technical Director with responsibility for managing a team to deliver projects in the areas of Data Analytics and Optimisation.During my time in the water industry, I have developed substantial expertise in leakage strategy and demand modelling for operational management and regulatory reporting, including Water Resources Management Plans. I have led research on numerous UK national research projects in these areas for organisations including UK Water Industry Research and Ofwat.I have also been involved in investment planning for Price Review business plan submissions, including both infrastructure and non-infrastructure expenditure. My work has included contribution to reporter audits and regulator meetings, as well as detailed technical forecasting of future service and expenditure requirements.All opinions expressed are my own.
