Alan Higgins most recently served as Vice President, Special Projects for Anadarko Energy Services Company. His responsibilities included special projects, administrative management of Anadarko’s Worldwide Marketing department, and contract administration. He has directed midstream MLP financial modeling, business plans for electric power generating capacity, wind farm power generation, commercialization of greenhouse gas emission credits, and energy market fundamental analysis. With over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, he has an extensive background in energy project finance, project economics, commercial transactions, and marketing strategy. His previous experience includes structured fuel sales to power generators, energy asset acquisitions, energy contracts, natural gas and crude oil trading, and energy management for industrial manufacturing.Mr. Higgins has served as Vice Chair for the North American Carbon Capture & Storage Association, and committee Chair for the Climate Policy Subcommittee of the American Exploration & Production Council. He previously served as Assistant Chair for the Environmental & Regulatory Subgroup of the National Petroleum Council report "Prudent Development" for the U.S. Department of Energy.Mr. Higgins received an MBA in Energy Management from the University of Denver and a BS in Finance from the University of Wyoming.
