Regular face to face meetings are held to feedback and discuss ongoing issues / concerns ,proactive work with end users to ensure vehicle uptime is to the highest level possible. A number of key Darlington customers were in my responsibility role including both on and off highway product , examples bus manufacturers, Air compressor applications , snow groomers , excavators , marine propulsion and all import engines from other related cummins manufacturing facilities, Customer were in variety of European regions Uk,Germany,France , Italy ,Greece,Poland,Czeck republic. Holland. Regular visits to a number of these key customers were made as art of my role and responsibilities -

A comprehensive review of the engine test data to ensure it meets customer expectations and then a de rig . Engines that were identified as not meeting customer expectations were torn down investigated extensively and the issue logged. Engines were then rebuilt and retested to stringent process controls to verify the meeting of customer expectationsIn this time period I was also given the opportunity to Take the Team Lead role in the day to day running of the production test area managing around 15 to 20 personnel. The job role included ensuring production targets were met and exceeded , assigning work stations per day ,night shift rota's, holiday requests , communication and feedback to team to ensure team development , training , reporting daily issues into higher management on equipment breakdowns , hourly production rates , production line improvement ideas. -
