I am a Chartered Structural Engineer involved in a wide range of structural and civil engineering projects. I have worked in a Structural Consultancy role at Will Rudd Davidson Ltd since graduating from Heriot-Watt University in 2006. My role as Director involves the responsibility of the day-today management and delivery of medium to large sized projects on time and within budget, and being responsible for overseeing the workload and training of technicians and engineers. I have gained experience in the design and management of both new-build multi storey projects over various sectors such as Hotels; Retail; Student Accommodation; Offices and large housing projects up to £30million in value, as well as the refurbishment of historical structures. I was also responsible for the design of the temporary works solutions for the M8/M73/M74 Improvement project which includes the design of heavy civil solutions and the assessment of existing road bridges both for abnormal loading provisions and implementing strategies for their safe demolition.
