• Support the formation, survival, growth and prosperity of new pre and post start business within St Helens through the provision of professional advice and training.• Assess the viability of the business idea at pre start -up. • Mentor and advise the client on all aspects of self-employment/business formation. Assist with the development of the business plan and cash flow forecast. Work with the client to overcome barriers and challenges relating to self-employment.• Advise the client on access to investment capital and best practice procedures relating to creative and none creative industries including intellectual property and copyright issues. • Develop networks with agencies and intermediaries (banks, accountancy firms, creative industry enterprise partners, educational establishments etc) and work with them to improve the services provided for creative business start-ups.• Carry out branding and marketing audits and develop both strategic and tactical planning with owners and directors of SMEs.• Day to day management and development of the ‘Catapult Centre’ - a creative space dedicated to small start-up creative enterprises in St Helens.

• All aspects of visual communication and brand management including design of product brochures, newsletters, brand guidelines and marketing literature within high street stores. • Key accountabilities involved design and creative management of the Littlewoods Stores brand communications, retail window displays, in store point of purchase and marketing literature. • Responsible for development of visual merchandising equipment, fashion and still life photography, budgetary control and management of key supplier relationships. • Day to day Management of studio staff including print buyer, working across a wide range of media including widow display, POP design, corporate literature, seasonal fashion brochures for press release, catalogues, exhibition and publicity materials. • Responsibility for the project management of Littlewoods Stores refurbishment programme, scope of work included; in-store branding, POP graphics, photography, signage and visual merchandising development.
