• Supervision and appropriate briefing and de-briefing of assigned simulator staff, in order to achieve a co-ordinated scenario outcome• Instruction, as required, of delegates, in order that they better understand and achieve course outcomes• Coaching of OIM’s and potential OIM’s to achieve the standard ready to go forward for assessment under the OPITO OIM Controlling Emergencies Standard• Delivery of theory presentations, as appropriate for particular courses• Assistance in the development and design of new and existing courses• De-briefing of delegates after scenarios, in order to highlight their strengths and weaknesses and in order to ensure that they achieve scenario outcomes• Efficient operation of simulation equipment• Liaison with the Industry Consultant (Assessor) to ensure that delegates are rated to a commonly understood and agreed standard• Responsible for ad hoc training of Role Players• Responsible for training and mentoring new members of staff

• To assist the drill floor whenever needed.• To populate risk assessments and lift plans at the beginning of each shift. • Hold and attend toolbox talks prior to any specialized job / lifts.• To assist the HLO safely land helicopters on the rig when required.• Carry out the Role of Emergency Response Team Member in regular drills and any real emergencies as stated on the Rig’s station bill.• Mentor new starts whenever required to do so.• To carry out the role of banksman when required to do so by the crane operator.• To take part in the companies SOAR program to improve health and safety on board.• Elected as Safety Representative for my Crew to attend regular safety meetings to discuss safety matters on board.

• Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the two Major Emergency Management (MEM) Simulators in Montrose. • Responsible for the two Mobile MEM Simulators that we send to carry out training on customers premises.• To set up the MEM Simulators for new courses.• To carry out stock takes of stationery and equipment and order more as required.• Take part in training exercises in the MEM Simulators, role playing as part of the OIM’s Emergency Management Team in various positions.• Operate the CAERTA and MPTS training software packages that are used to carry out customer training.• Build and maintain computer simulations on the CAERTA and MPTS software packages.• Assist the course directors in the prep for building new courses. Using up to date platform POB’s, safety cases and ERP’s.• Update course material when clients send in new information regarding specific platforms.• To carry out my role as a Fire Warden for the two MEM Simulators in Montrose.• To cover the operations coordinator position in periods of holiday or sickness. This role involves dealing with customer enquiries, booking of courses, weekly staff and contractors Rota compilation, raising and receipting of purchase orders and looking after training records.
