Born in 1956, in Yorkshire, I was first a career linguist, teaching in Belgium, Sweden, Germany and Italy. Qualifying as a solicitor in 1988, I was a senior litigation solicitor and partner in large firms in the City of London and Manchester, arriving at Pricketts in 2007 after a period in-house with a multinational. Taught law (Advanced Commercial Litigation) at Sheffield University Law School.
