As an integral member of the Learning Design and Support Team (LDS) I actively participate in the development and implementation of learning technology strategies to enhance teaching and learning aligned to college priorities or initiatives.The Learning Technology Specialist designs and develops on-line learning spaces in collaboration with faculty members to effectively integrate educational technology into the learning process. He/she works in partnership to design and deliver faculty training, workshops, and courses on the effective use of online learning environments. I have professional skills in a wide variety of production software to design and create quality on-line teaching and learning experiences for use both in the classroom and on-line. I research, explores, tests, and promotes the use of emerging software, platforms, and technological innovations in teaching and learning through formal and informal projects. As a Learning Management System (LMS) system administrator, I facilitates LMS activity (courses, hybrids, gradebooks, system upgrades etc.); is a point of contact for LMS inquiries and support issues; communicates upgrades for users; and prepares orientations, workshops and support materials.
