This is a start up business that is totally designed to assist our youth gain employment. We are covering employment both from a job search and consulting capability. My role here is to assist with the development and launch to the Australian market. We have employed a dynamic team to assist with this exciting project and since launching in October 2013 we are gaining market recognition as a unique web site dedicated to assisting youth to go get a job.Parents, Schools and Employers are all catered for on this site and are finding the information provided extremely helpful in assisting their youth into employment.

I have returned to Icon with the aim to assist the development of the brand in the Queensland marketplace. I left Icon in 2000 when the business was at it's height of market acceptance and the passion and respect I have for the business is there to again strive to see this business reach it's full potential.

Over the past 18 months Cherie and I have re-developed a run down farm to a B&B / Farm stay property. Big learning curve for a city boy but the property is showing the fruits of our efforts and is a truly serene and beautiful place to escape the rat race.

I was approached by the Managing Director to take over the Queensland Branch. The business was in the need for an experienced manager to get the business back on track and stabilizes the team as there had been excessive staff turnover over the past year. The business had also started to slip in market presence and it was my responsibility to ensure existing clients we satisfied with our service delivery as well as develop new business opportunities.I had to re-align the team to abilities and capabilities and expected outcomes which meant nearly a total turnover of staff over the first 6 months.We built a highly motivated and dedicated team over this time and in difficult business conditions we still managed a $23M turnover for the financial year 2008/09.I helped grow new business opportunities at Queensland Health, Citec, Gold Coast City Council, Brisbane City Council and many other SME style businesses.I had total responsibility for P&L for the branch as well as mentoring and career development of 9 staff.The branch was regarded as one of the prime IT recruitment companies in Brisbane as was a business of choice for recruitment professionals to join.

I was responsible for opening the branch for Talent International, finding office space and hiring of staff.This was a raw start up as Talent International was an unknown in the state.Originally commenced with a team of 2 then grew to a staff of 6 as the business grew and demanded additional staff. The client list grew substantially with an impressive list of corporate accounts as well as successfully being appointed to supplier panels on 6 Government Agencies.The business was tracking well to budget and we will finish the financial year 08 ahead of budget and showing a positive contribution to profit.I developed a strong and committed team that had skill and passion to take the business forward at an ever increasing rate.
