Established and led a team of finance professionals to support the Company’s newly formed North American business unit ($835 million revenue, $235 million EBITDA), focusing on driving performance through enhanced reporting, analysis, and creative partnership to help win new business and renew existing business opportunities. • Responsible for all internal financial and business reporting, planning and budgeting activities, oversight of financial analysis on business opportunities (financial modeling, deal approval, contract review, etc.) and sales compensation. • Instituted monthly executive reporting packages and review meetings for each business unit (eight total) that includes financial results, financial projections, sales pipelines and key business updates.• Led acquisition of JPMorgan Chase’s off-branch ATM portfolio (~2,600 ATMs) that required complex negotiations between multiple parties, including JPMC, Visa, Walgreens, and BP. Acquisition added annual revenue in the range of $40-45 million and was immediately EPS accretive.• Utilized data warehouse to produce unique cardholder trend reports on the ATM estate. Collaborated with Marketing and business owners to create and implement strategies to increase repeat customer usage.

Directed all of the transactional accounting activities for North America, including general ledger, month end close and reporting, departmental cost reporting, fixed assets, merchant accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.• Managed an international accounting team comprised of 25 employees in three countries.• Overhauled the merchant accounting process to ensure our retail partners are paid correctly and timely by getting more accurate information from upstream systems and instituting improved accounting controls.• Managed initiative to audit thousands of merchant contracts for conformity with GAAP revenue recognition standards. Developed and implemented procedures to ensure new contracts are implemented consistently. • Integrated the accounting, financial management, and financial reporting functions for multiple acquisitions.

Transformed the internal business intelligence and reporting function within the Company. Significantly expanded the business knowledge within the Company’s management team through well-designed and timely business reports and analyses.• Oversaw the monthly and daily reporting of key business and financial information to the Company’s Executive Management team and Board of Directors. • Created and distributed daily revenue flash report for the U.S., collaborated with international counterparts to create global daily flash report.• Teamed with IT resources to build an Essbase database enabling the business to quickly analyze interchange trends by network, gateway and contract.• Partnered with business owners on special projects, such as customer contract negotiations and modeling, acquisition analysis and integration.• Performed network routing and risk analyses that led to agreements immediately increasing Company profitability and reducing exposure to interchange pricing risk in the future. • Finance lead on project “Profit U.K.” that took a loss making segment of the business and turned it cash flow positive in less than six months. Accomplished by building ATM and contract level P&Ls, analyzing fixed vs. variable costs and teaming with operational employees to create more efficient processes.• Leveraged knowledge of the U.K. business during the analysis and due diligence process of the Cardpoint Ltd. acquisition (£100 million) that nearly tripled the Company’s footprint in Europe, including expanding in to Germany.

Managed the timely and accurate completion of the monthly closing process and the preparation and consolidation of the financial statements and management reporting for Cardtronics’ U.S. operating entities (revenues of $400+ million).• Managed all aspects of month-end close process, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.• Led successful effort to reduce close and reporting cycle by two-three business days by creating accurate cost accrual methods and automating many time consuming, manual entries.• Direct supervision of the U.S. G/L group (staff of three to five).• Prepared monthly financial statements and variance analyses for U.S. operations.• Designed, built, and implemented models to more accurately account and report profitability at a contract level.

Provided strategic planning, decision support and financial analysis for a division with more than 1,500 employees and an annual budget over $300 million.• Drove budgeting and forecasting processes by working closely with operational management to ensure the division was aligned with corporate financial targets.• Managed all aspects of month-end close process, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.• Reviewed division financial and operational performance with executives quarterly.• Identified key metrics and methodology for allocating shared overhead expenses across numerous lines of business.• Ensured proposed capital projects met corporate NPV and ROI thresholds.• Negotiated maintenance contract amendments saving the Company in excess of $3.5 million.

Maintained and supported the daily use of Oracle Financial Analyzer (OFA) by acting as a Database Administrator.• Developed and administered end user training programs.• Created an automated procedure for nightly build of GL Detail data using SQL.
