Alan entered the Information Technology field in 1991 when he began working at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI, an R&D think tank for power producing utilities), and has been involved ever since.Launching information technology companies Southern Software and BizPlus during the mid-90's, Alan eventually accepted a position of Director of IT at Arch Wireless, a paging industry consolidator, in 1999. It was at Arch where he initially envisioned a company that would specialize in the type of work (consolidations & platform migrations) he oversaw there.In 2008, Alan launched XMS Solutions to service firms requiring expert level, international grade Professional Services consultants for migrations & upgrades typically required during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. That business has evolved over the years to include security and Identity & Access Management integration, as both are natural extensions of the company's existing customer relationships.Alan's areas of expertise include: successful business start-ups; partner channel development; business development; business management/administration; and enterprise level, solution-based sales.
