As Vice Chairman of The Irish Security Industry Association (Secure Data Destruction Division) I have objectives to increase awareness of the ISIA, drive membership value, experience growth within the division and deliver on the strategic plan set out for the division as set out by management and members. The ISIA is the only association in Ireland that represents the full spectrum of professional data destruction companies. We provide a voice for the data protection (destruction) industry, allowing our members to provide a positive influence to the data destruction industry and to drive change and continuous improvement collectively as a sector. Key Responsibilities;Provide professional knowledge and expert processes to Industry users and increase awareness of European LegislationIncrease awareness of the importance of utilizing professional data processors to process sensitive data for an Organisation.Liaise with Government to establish a uniform data destruction standard for Ireland in line with European Standards.Liaise with decision makers and key influence-rs within the Data Protection and Data Management Industry in Ireland. To ensure that The Division is managed effectively in order to represent the IndustryTo provide leadership to the Division Build collaborative relationships with external bodiesProvide support and supervision to the Chairman of The Division.To represent the Association and The Division as its figurehead at Data Protection Events.
