Before joining IBM, in September 2021, I worked in retail as a Sales Adviser through where I really had a chance to develop my customer interaction and communication skills. My time in this role allowed me to push myself to better my communication and social skills through a wide range of sales environments and situations.For the previous 4 years I have also been working part time as a Semi-Professional Esports Coach in a high level national environment. I’ve competed in many regions and worked with many teammates from all around Europe. Currently I am the Head Coach of a high performing team in the Benelux (Belgium, Luxembourg & Netherlands) region, in which I am responsible for training & team management, performance analysis and team development. My experiences and many different roles within esports has shaped and developed me into who I am today and has equipped me with a whole plethora of managerial, organisational and team-working skills.I am particularly passionate about self-learning and skill development, which has driven me to teach myself multiple programming languages, concepts and disciplines. For the last few years I have been able to explore my creative side through game development within the Unity engine where I have taught myself C# programming along with being able to apply practices such as OOP and performance optimisation techniques I learned as theory during college. I frequently use my software dev skills to create technical solutions and tools to assist myself in many day-to-day tasks, commonly to assist my coaching role in esports.
