In this role I created and organized a curriculum for a branch of the camp (called 'Outpost' camp)focused on teaching outdoor skills and environmental principles. Through my curriculum I taught the children through various wilderness activities such as trail walks, fire building, and shelter building, while also communicating the importance of the various forms of life sharing their ecosystem. In the summer of 2020, I was responsible for all of the previously stated actions, with the addition of simultaneously being the lead staff for the high ropes camp. In this role I organized the use of the rock wall, high ropes challenge course, and zipline at the camp. I provided leadership, and guidance where needed, to the certified high ropes counselors. Furthermore, I was responsible for facilitating the rock wall, zipline, and high ropes challenge course for the groups of counselors who were not certified to use the equipment.
