As a Senior Policy Advisor for a Salt Lake County Council member, my role is to research issues affecting the county, provide strategic guidance and analysis to council members, identify fiscally responsible budget decisions, and make policy recommendations that prioritize the well-being of all county residents.I’ve developed a deeper understanding of issues such as public safety, government operations and administration, public facilities, trail management, road maintenance, and the value of cultural arts programs and recreational facilities.

I recently joined a remarkable team of filmmakers, business leaders, and creative writers from Studio C to boost and protect the film industry in Utah. Utah has a deep and rich history in film, but in recent years, film production companies are choosing other states, and sadly, they're taking our film talent with them. Utah is missing out on hundreds of millions of dollars, and our rural areas are taking the biggest hit. Cinema Slopes plans to do for the film industry what Silicon Slopes has done for tech in our state -- make Utah the most desirable alternative market for filmmaking in America.Cinema Slopes is fighting for a strong motion picture industry that will substantially boost Utah’s economy while also providing educational and job opportunities for Utah filmmakers through film festivals and industry summits.

I love to write. I have come to the conclusion that we all have something to say. I believe that words have the power to inspire, uplift and motivate a person to change. I wrote my first book and it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. I finally wrote the story that had been swirling for years in my mind. I wrote about a young girl named Lauren and her experience with the power of love, her ability to remember and the amazing force that brought two hearts together. I loved getting to know my characters. Their personalities came to life and in many ways, they guided and dictated the storyline. Writing this book changed me. I actually miss it. Everyday was an adventure of creativity and passion. It was an experience I'll always treasure. Now to decide if I'll ever get it published . . .
