My upbringing in rural Texas seeded the love of community within me, and as I packed my bags and moved to Oklahoma and eventually Washington, D.C., I held fast to my roots, tucking them within the brown paper boxes that carried my belongings. In the spirit of resilience, I graduated in 2020 with a B.S. in Animal Science and a minor in Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University. Seeking a redirection in my education, I earned a M.S. in Global Studies with a focus on Global Leadership and Development in 2022. My research interests in sustainable economic development and poverty alleviation led me to write my thesis "Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen? A Comprehensive Comparison of NGO Spending and Development in Nepal".My interests in sustainable and resilient communities led to me to my current role as Partnerships Manager at Motor, a startup focused on accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles and a cleaner energy future. Outside the constraints of the 40-hour work week, I am passionate about equitable urban planning, public transportation, and climate optimism.
