Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Zero (VX-20) performs developmental test and evaluation on aircraft, weapon systems, and technical publications for the fleet warfighter. Patrol and Reconnaissance Squadron Five (VP-5) operates the P-8A Poseidon aircraft to execute the mission sets of Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASUW), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), and Search and Rescue (SAR). Held a crew position as the Primary Acoustic Operator in a dynamic and hazardous work environment with unpredictable variables and challenges. Two deployments as the Primary Sensor Operator (SO) for the Advances Airborne Sensor (AAS) for applicable mission sets. • Immediately responsible for interpreting real-time acoustic data, deciding on best tactics, and directing the crew of nine when tracking submarines (high-pressure high-risk environment).• As an instructor, responsible for training and evaluating additional operators through On-Job-Training (OJT), simulators, scenarios, and boards that could run upwards of eight hours. • Three deployments with experience tracking submarines in 6th and 7th fleet, in addition to 448 simulator hours.• Meticulous log keeping and multitasking in high-pressure environment for post-mission analysis and developing lessons learned for systemic improvements.
