I am a Lighting Artist experienced in the current physically based rendering (PBR) workflow, and matching to reference/ plate photography lighting. I have worked at a few studios and am a fairly quick learner, able to adapt to new workflows, tools, pipelines.My previous experiences in matchmove and on-set camera/ grip department, gives me a good understanding of the filmmaking/ vfx process. It also enables me to lineup HDRI and reference photography to lidar, digi-doubles, reference balls, for more accurate light rig extraction. This forms a base on which additional aesthetic lighting can be done.Main responsibilities include:- slate based HDRI verification and extraction to light rig.- slate based shot lighting and rendering to passes for bash comp in Nuke.- grading render pass light channels in Nuke for faster turnaround and transferring to Maya/ Katana for final render.- additional shot level bespoke contact geometry for shadow casting/ catching.- presenting dailied shots and performing lighting adjustments based on notes, direction. - adjustment of settings for final renders and optimization.Experienced in Maya, Clarisse, Nuke, Katana, PRman, Manuka, Vray, and occasionally used Houdini.I also have basic mel/ python knowledge, which helps me speed up more repetitive tasks in the course of my work.My reel on vimeo.
