As a growth strategist with a combined commercial and human-centred lens, I've a passion for growth driven by innovation and sustainable purpose. With 20 years experience in market strategy, commercial analysis and human centred design, I've helped NZ and international companies develop and deliver data and design-led propositions for accelerated growth, and elevated experiences that inspire advocacy. As an entrepreneur, I originated and developed startups built on innovation and elevated experiences. And in corporate, I've worked with CEOs of startups and SMEs (developing strategic roadmaps for accelerated growth), SLT of large enterprises (facilitating customer-centric transformation across the business), and government (developing strategies to commercialise NZ deeptech). I enjoy combining Data-led Market Intelligence (to identify why and where to play) and Human Centred Design (to design and deliver winning propositions), to help companies embark on accelerated growth trajectories, leveraging on enabling tech, digital platforms and strategic partnerships. I’ve facilitated strategic direction and tactical delivery of innovative propositions across industries, in different parts of the business, both externally (through growth and engagement strategies) and internally (through enterprise innovation and operational excellence). Starting at Accenture in 1994, I’ve 15 years corporate experience in commercial strategy, human centred design, investment analysis and sales across industries – providing a solid DVF foundation. 8 years entrepreneurial experience developing, experimenting and executing strategies has given me valuable insights, and a ton of empathy for B2C & B2B customers. Learnings from which I bring to corporate roles. Prior to relocating to NZ in 2018, I headed innovation strategy at Sun Life Insurance.Since relocating to NZ, I’ve helped NZ companies develop and deliver innovative propositions. As a strategist at think tank Spring NZ, I helped companies identify white spaces and formulate innovative strategies to achieve accelerated growth, through value chain analysis and data driven insights. Championing human centred design at 2degrees, I facilitated the creation of innovative solutions and elevated engagement for both internal and external customers. At Spark, I helped to develop impactful and scalable IoT solutions, elevating productivity and sustainability for NZ businesses. And now at Southern Cross, I'm happy to have found my ikigai, putting purpose over profit, helping to reimagine the future of health insurance.
