About Alex Yoder

Hello! My name is Alex Yoder. I am a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) Student at the University of Utah. Alongside attending school full time, I am a Public Finance Graduate Assistant at the Kem C. Gardner Institute of Policy. I graduated in 2023 from Weber State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, an emphasis in American Government, and a Minor in Communications. I completed two internships in State and local government during my undergraduate studies; one at the Utah State Legislature, and one at the Weber Prosperity Center of Excellence. I later returned to the legislature as the Minority Caucus’s Summer Intern. My experience at the legislature and the COE have prompted me to pursue a career in public service, and my experience working with the Presidents Office at Weber State has ignited a passion for higher education. Finally, my experience at LBHS has taught me the importance of non-profits in building communities and filling the gap in government service provision.
