I have my Bachelor’s in Chemistry along with over six years working directly in the chemistry field. My background includes a unique combination of both a commercial and academic laboratory experience with positions in leadership roles.I started working in the receiving department and quickly became the Sample Receiving Team Lead. In that position I lead a team to receive samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis. One of my responsibilities was to interact with clients to meet their needs. I coordinated and clearly communicated with other departments to meet client and laboratory deadlines. I now work as an Environmental Scientist. I analyze air samples for VOCs. I also independently prepare and calibrate instrumentation for analysis. My job includes reviewing data post analysis, followed by technical write ups and reporting data directly to clients. I perform instrument calibration and maintenance as needed. I continue working in a leadership role by scheduling sample analysis workload for the laboratory to ensure efficient and punctual analysis. Management of sample custody.I worked as an Organic Laboratory Technician with Minnesota Valley Testing Laboratories performing testing on a variety of different specimens. This was a high-volume, highly regulated environment under minimal supervision. I worked extensively with data entry, writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures, and preparation of food and feed samples in the laboratory. I made sure every client was satisfied with the quality of my testing and assured accurate, efficient results in my work. I bring strong computer proficiencies in testing specializing in the analysis of air using a wide range of EPA methods. I am skilled in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
