Computer Science Major, Critical Thinker, Diligent Worker, Lab supervisor teacher's assistant for BYU's introduction to computer science course, Skilled Debugger, Great Communicator.Over the years computer science has become a bit of a passion of mine. I'm a very creative person and working on computer programs has been a perfect match for me. I'm the kind of person that looks at a street light and wonders how it works (and how I can make a better version of it). I'm great at bringing that creativity to my work. As part of a small strategy council I designed a strategy that placed my robotics team in quarterfinals of a regional competition. My experiences in life have taught me a lot about the importance of hard work. I've been a diligent worker wherever I have worked. At my current job I've implemented 16+ projects in C++, and have graded many programming assignments for around 1,000 computer science students. I've become quite a good communicator as well. I've helped helped well over 20 struggling computer science students understand confusing subjects. I've worked on many teams across many aspects of life, and often as a leader or facilitator. I learned to focus on others; to draw out their strengthens and help them gain valuable experience.I'm quite knowledgeable in computer science. When I code I'm very thorough. I'm skilled at thinking through what code is doing. Similarly I'm also a skilled debugger, I have almost never have been stumped on bugs in my code for longer than a day. I maintain around a 3.8 GPA, and have a half-institution scholarship to Brigham Young University. And while I don't know everything I am eager and willing to learn; and the more I learn the more I realize just how much more there is to learn.
