Alexander is the head of Bain's Private Equity practice in EMEA. He previously led Bain's Private Equity practice in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), and served as the managing partner of our Düsseldorf office. Since joining Bain in 2003, Alexander has built extensive experience advising financial and strategic investors globally across the full investment value chain, from deal generation, diligence, and M&A transactions (buy-side and sell-side), to portfolio company value creation and transformation. In addition, he works with the leadership teams of many of the largest private equity firms and alternative asset managers in the world on fund strategy questions, helping clients ensure their strategies and operations match their ambitions and position them to win. Alexander holds a summa cum laude degree in Business Administration from WHU–Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management – in Vallendar, Germany, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He also attended the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Viña del Mar, Chile. He is fluent in German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and has basic knowledge of Swedish.
