As the Apprenticeship Program Lead at Kirschbaum, in addition to having and performing the responsibilities and duties of a Senior Web Application Developer & Project Lead, I had and performed the following:- Created the processes, structure, timeline, and goals of the Kirschbaum Apprenticeship Program--a program which takes entry-level web developers and mentors them into Associate-level developers over the span of a few months.- Developed the curriculum that Apprentices and Mentors follow to help the Apprentice reach the end of the program in the time allotted- Selected and coached Mentors from the Kirschbaum team to assist in their work with our Apprentices- Led the reviewing of applications, interviewing, and hiring Apprentices fitting the goals of the program and the overall candidate qualifications of Kirschbaum- Orchestrated the offboarding of Apprentices to the Kirschbaum Associate Developer Program once the Apprentices had completed the Apprenticeship Program- Communicated progress and goals to the COO and CEO so that we could continue to monitor the viability of the Apprenticeship Program initiative

As a Senior Web Application Developer & Project Lead at Kirschbaum, I had and performed the following responsibilities and duties:- Led a development team for client engagements, ensuring that the developers remained on-track and focused on client-requested deliverables, code cleanliness, and overall product focus by removing blockers and building foundational code systems.- Architected and engineered solutions for a client project involving rebuilding an existing, profitable SaaS application in Laravel, Vue, Inertia, Tailwind, and Filament- Mentored client developers in Laravel and Vue best-practices, coding standards, and software architecture for their application- Spearheaded communications with clients and translated client needs into concrete deliverables for our development teams- Brainstormed and planned features for client applications with client leadership based on user feedback and projected/desired relevant future markets

I worked at RedTag.digital as their Director of Technology, and was responsible for a few different areas within the organization:- Planning, organizing, executing, and directing the completion of web development projects, ensuring these projects are delivered on-time and within both budget and scope- Assisting the CTO in creating and implementing processes, procedures, and plans relating to the web development department- Meeting and communicating with clients and other departments to discuss their software needs

While St. John Neumann Catholic Church was working to find a new, full-time Youth Minister, I, along with an incredible CORE Team of 6 adults and college students, planned and ran our weekly High School Youth Nights.

During my time at Fivable, my responsibilities consist of developing software for the web and mobile platforms, and creating and maintaining our cloud infrastructures (as well as those belonging to our clients), increasing the speed at which we can create, test, and deploy code through integrating various CI/CD Pipelines into our everyday workflow, and creating scalable, testable, and performant applications that are simple and easy to use for our clients and internal needs. While in this role, I have contributed to the success of both Fivable and our clients by making an impact in a few key areas:Developed a CI/CD toolchain from the ground-up, integrating tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines and AWS CodeDeploy to ensure that our applications are programmed, tested, and deployed quickly and automatically, seeing a significant boost in developer productivity, code quality, and time-to-deployment for the applications that implement the toolchain so far.Created and formalized our error-tracking toolchain using tools such as Atlassian OpsGenie and Papertrail to alert the relevant employees to any potential issues in our deployed client applications.Architected multiple auto-scaling/auto-healing cloud infrastructures for internal use as well as for many of Fivable's clients. These infrastructures are individually tailored to meet each client's needs and can be as small as single-region deployments up to multi-region infrastructures.Built multiple applications for internal use and for our clients. Most recently, these include an iOS application that has helped increase productivity for users of one of our clients' applications in the field where response time is important, and I have created a web application that gives one of our clients a central location to manage SMS and email campaigns that can be sent on a custom schedule.
