As a Delivery Driver at Kane's Furniture, I am responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of furniture items to customers' homes and businesses. I have been working in this role for over three and a half years, and I have developed strong skills in logistics management, transportation coordination, and team collaboration. I am also CPR and First Aid certified, which enables me to handle any emergency situations that may arise during the delivery process.Before joining Kane's Furniture, I was a Director of Transportation at Oglethorpe, Inc., a health care organization that provides recovery services for patients with substance abuse and mental health issues. I was in charge of scheduling and maintaining the company vehicles, as well as ensuring the drivers' professionalism and safety. I started as a Driver and Recovery Assistant, and within two months, I was promoted to this leadership position. This experience taught me how to work with diverse and vulnerable populations, as well as how to manage a transportation team effectively. Prior to that, I served as a Rifleman and Squad Leader in the United States Marine Corps for four years, where I learned valuable skills in leadership, communication, improvisation, adaptation, and stress management. I received multiple honors and awards for my service and performance, such as the National Defense Ribbon, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation.
