This position involved updating LERA’s website, which included uploading an independent data journalism project I authored during a previous volunteer internship with LERA. I also carried out routine website updates, used my graphic design skills to compose posters and fliers for LERA, and practiced community engagement through in-person advertisement of LERA’s public health initiatives.

I worked with Penumbra theatre for three summers previous to this internship, and was awarded the 2010 Kathryn Coram Gagnon Fellowship for an emerging female African American theatre artist. As a 3rd year intern, I worked in partnership with World Without Genocide to write and star in my own one-woman show. WWG also provided me with experience working for a nonprofit.
